Coffee Mornings with Emma & Lucy is not a podcast you simply listen to. It is a world you accidentally fall into.

Created by Emma Mulkern and Lucy Penrose, the show is a whirlwind, choose-your-own-adventure audio experience where storytelling, improv, character work and complete narrative chaos collide. One minute you’re in a Regency drawing room negotiating etiquette with questionable authority, the next you’re in Victorian London, or deep in a completely unnecessary philosophical debate about something like biscuits, time travel, or emotional support moustaches.

At the heart of each episode is a rotating universe of characters and improvised storylines, most famously The Adventures of Mrs Gosling, where audiences are invited to play along as the narrative spirals through time, space and increasingly unhinged logic. The result is part podcast, part live performance, part sketch show, and part collective inside joke.

Originally streamed live and recorded from a sofa with nothing but caffeine, instinct and ambition, Coffee Mornings has grown into a cult favourite for listeners who enjoy comedy that refuses to behave itself. It is deliberately unpredictable, often absurd, and always grounded in the chemistry between its creators.

There is no strict format, no safety rail, and absolutely no guarantee that any episode will stay on topic for more than a few minutes. That is entirely the point.

Coffee Mornings with Emma & Lucy is streaming now on all major podcast platforms.
